The start of this work week for me in Los Angeles has a strange and eerie feeling. The energy in the city is tense. I was cycling thru my photography archive and reviewed images from the protests I attended back in 2020. The imagery reminded me of that time and how it's repeating itself. Mentally there is too much to digest and process. Personally I'm attempting to center myself and figure out my next moves.
Currently I'm preparing for a vending event with Los Angeles Nightsss x
present "Jokes On You", this Saturday June 28th. For this event I have created a new zine and hope to have it available for sale in-person. This will be a fun event so come out and support local art, vendors and creative space in the Los Angeles area.

Archive Feature: Kids In Cages Protest 2020
This photo was taken during the Kids In Cages protest in Los Angeles, circa 2020. When I saw the crowd moving I attempted to get ahead of it. The crowd was making their way to city hall into downtown Los Angeles from the First Street bridge. Signs and chants were growing but it was all peaceful. When I concluded my coverage I have to say there was a heavy weight on my mind and spirit. As someone that has never been political or an activist I was very torn with how to process everything. I try to get some perspective from family and friends and do my best to be true to who I am as a human being, father and husband.
Be safe out there. Thank you again for reading. ✌🏽📷
